Award-winning Estate Agency website
Back in 2015, we designed, built, wrote the content for and content managed Northfields Estates’ website which was awarded the silver accolade for Best Estate Agency Website by The Times & Sunday Times in 2016.
We’ve continued to work on the site tweaking, updating and adding content for the last five years but the internet waits for no Estate Agent and with technology moving on and the capabilities of our WordPress platform having improved immeasurably, it’s all change for 2020!

The challenge
www.northfields.co.uk
It’s often said that your website is your online shop window. Whilst that’s true to an extent, Northfields Estates didn’t just want a pretty shop window, they wanted to create a genuinely helpful community resource.
Objectives
- Focus on being informative for different kinds of clients regardless of whether they’re selling, letting, buying, or looking to rent a property.
- Welcome newcomers to the local community by highlighting places, businesses and organisations locally which they may be interested in.
- Create an extension of the Northfields team’s unrivalled local knowledge, offering insights into the local area.

Persona Pages
How do you provide targeted and specific information whilst catering for different needs?
We’ve dedicated a section of the website to helping people find the services best suited to them. For example first time buyers are likely to have very different needs and concerns to those looking to downsize. The personas were created based on questions the Northfields team are asked regularly, to ensure the nail-on-head relevance to their customer base.
-
Area Pages
How do we offer personal local insight, via the website?
This is especially important now, with fewer people in our offices due to Covid-19 health and safety. We wanted to give people a warm friendly welcome to the area, even if they are unable to drop into a branch in person. To do this, the fantastic team shared their local recommendations with us, as well as photos of their favourite parts of Ealing to include across the area pages.

News articles and blogs
How do we publish up-to-date information for everyone?
Regularly updating and adding new content is really important in order to get websites found on search engines. We’ve created categories which correspond with different client needs such as ‘landlord’ ‘first time buyer’ and ‘tenant’ and the relevant pages pull through the corresponding blog posts. We’ve also developed an ongoing content strategy, to ensure we’re creating content which will be useful for all clients.
